Storytelling with Data

How do I keep my audience engaged while I’m throwing huge piles of information at them? Storytelling is an art form and a science that has been practiced throughout human history. The core principles of storytelling haven’t changed, but people forget about the basic principles of character, time and setting when they’re preparing to present large amounts of information.

Phil will talk about how he applied his background in writing, filmmaking and UX to Data Visualization. He will demonstrate some basic principles of storytelling and how they apply directly to data visualizations. It’ll be a little bit of math, a little bit of art, and a little bit of science.

The “professor” of Think Brownstone, Phil holds designs and processes up to industry standards and best practices – and has a knack for figuring out how to go above and beyond. With a proven track record of client satisfaction and organizational leadership, Phil simply “gets it.”
