POSITION: Web/Graphic Designer
COMPANY: Drexel University Electrical and Computer Engineering Department
LOCATION: Philadelphia, PA
REQUIREMENTS:
- 1+ years of design experience — a strong portfolio will be equivalent
- An understanding of modern web standards
- Strong eye for typography and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple jobs for supervisor and various professors
- Proficiency with web languages such as HTML5 and CCS3
- Proficiency with using Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and Microsoft PowerPoint to design media
DUTIES:
- Design and create from scratch engaging digital signs, banners, flyers, and other advertisements marketing the activities within the department
- Manage the ECE Departmental webpage by updating content through CMS
- Update content on monitors placed on the second and third floors
- Post news snippets, event details, and other information or media on social media outlets weekly
- Create the monthly newsletters
- Photograph key events if available
- Plan and execute other digital media-based projects with supervisor
COMPENSATION: $16.25 per hour, 10 hours a week maximum
