This is one of our favorite reasons for going with the Black Magic Micro Studio 4k cameras for our 360° rig … having multiple, genlock synced 4k cameras available for students working on VFX shots. This student setup is putting 3 of the cameras to use, two as witness cameras locked into position for object/body tracking, and the main “ANIM” camera mounted to a moving jib arm to capture the take for production. The small size and low weight of these cameras makes it easy to mount them anywhere using a simply 1/4″-20 threaded light peg and a C-Stand.
