We’ll be giving some new lenses a try. The Fujinon 1″2.7mm C-Mount security camera lens. Initial tests look promising, showing that, when used with a Metabones C-Mount-to-MFT adaptor, we can get over 180° field of view from these lenses along the long axis of the camera sensors in our BMD Micro Studio Camera. Distortion may be an issue though. These lenses are intended for security camera use, so while the image generally looks pretty good to the eye, close examination does show significant distortion around the edges of the circle. Will be interesting to see how much of this distortion can be corrected in the stitching tools we have.
